Description:

Sudden and Unexpected In-custody deaths are not an uncommon issue facing first responders, but adequate training on the topic is.  We have all heard the stories about the individuals who have "died" in police custody. Initially, law enforcement is blamed for the death and then the medical authority cites the cause of death as being cocaine psychosis, exhaustive mania, and more often now "Excited Delirium." Tactical Advantage Solutions, LLC is proud to present a course designed to educate "First Responders" about the issues surrounding the in-custody deaths most commonly referred to as "Excited Delirium."

This course is designed to prepare First Responders to recognize potential Excited Delirium cases, as well as educate them about how to interact with individuals suffering from this potentially deadly medical emergency. We will deliver informative training on the signs and symptoms of Excited Delirium as well as force options to be considered for controlling these individuals. This course goes well beyond the myths of in-custody deaths and is a must for any professional entrusted with the safety and security of our communities.

I have been a police officer for over 10 years and I have attended many different courses offered by many different companies. I can honestly say that Dennis Root delivered the best training I have ever been to. He kept the class interested, even through the legal portions, and emphasized the importance of mental and physical preparation. He has instilled in me that "winning on the street and in the courtroom are our highest priorities." This was one of those classes that really made a difference.
