The Tactical Advantage Solutions (T.A.S.) Force Instructor Symposium is a very intensive training program designed to deliver FOUR Instructor Certification Courses in ONE week of training. Upon successful completion of this training, the participant will obtain instructor certifications in the following areas:

Use Force Instructor

The Use of Force Instructor certification course is a MUST for any instructor responsible for teaching force related topics: such as firearms, defensive tactics, intermediate weapons, etc. This course will provide intensive training on force related issues including, but not limited to: Supreme Court and other court related decisions, liabilities associated with the application of force options, as well as issues within your organization linked to force related training. This course is intended to enhance the participant’s ability to deliver training related to his or her organization’s use of force policies. An additional benefit derived from this training will be the instructor’s ability to effectively discuss force issues with individuals within the community and/or legal settings.

Impact Weapons Instructor

Tactical Advantage Solutions, LLC has created a very intensive Impact Weapons Instructor Certification Course. This course goes well beyond the basics of impact weapon’s training and is designed to develop the trainer’s ability to deliver informative and effective training. We have developed exercises to assist the instructor in both teaching the techniques and being able to troubleshoot issues commonly experienced by their participants. This training addresses all of the topics required to teach the basic operator course as well as methods of instruction, presentation techniques, and much more. We have developed our impact weapons curriculum, so as to be applicable to any straight or expandable/collapsible baton. This is a physically demanding instructor’s course and participants will be required to demonstrate their abilities to instruct selected portions of the material covered.

Excited Delirium Instructor

Tactical Advantage Solutions, LLC is proud to present the most comprehensive course available on Excited Delirium Syndrome. This course is designed to develop the trainer’s ability to deliver informative training on the issues surrounding in-custody deaths, most commonly referred to as “Excited Delirium.” This course goes well beyond the myths of in-custody deaths. We have developed programs that are instruction ready, so the certified instructors may return to their respective organizations and begin training on this issue immediately. Programs are designed for civilian and law enforcement applications. Upon successful completion of this training, the participant will be certified to teach the basic 2 or 4 hour program depending on the target audience.

Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Instructor

The T.A.S. OC Instructor Certification Course is a very demanding instructor course designed to provide participants with the information they will need to properly instruct the 4-hour basic user certification training program. This certification course addresses all of the topics covered during the basic operator training as well as methods of instruction, presentation techniques, performance drills, and much more. Exposure to an OC product is mandatory for all T.A.S. OC Instructors. However, we recognize that product exposure is a common practice in most basic operator training programs. That is why we have instituted a policy that if you have received an exposure during your basic operator training you will not be required to be sprayed again.

* Days lost from work refers to the minimum amount of time the participant would need to miss from normal duty assignments to travel to and attend the training program. It is based on leaving the day before the scheduled training and returning the day after the training is completed. Due to salary and benefit variances, we are unable to supply the financial savings associated with reducing the time removed from work. However, if a participant earns a wage of $15 per hour and the lost time is reduced by 4 days, then the savings is another $480, plus benefits and work product.

** Travel expenses do not include fuel costs, airfare or rental car. Travel expenses based on the participant receiving $40 per day per diem and the hotel costing $100 per night.
