40 Hour – Class D License Training
Effective January 01, 2012, applicants for the Class D Unarmed Security Officer's License must complete 40 hours of training prior to submitting their application for licensure. The T.A.S. Class D License Training Course is designed to provide the participants with all of the training they will need to obtain their Class “D” Unarmed Security Officer’s License, in accordance with Chapter 493, Florida Statutes. The material presented meets and exceeds the requirements established in Rule 5N-1 by the State of Florida, Division of Licensing. This course is the true beginning for any person who truly desires professional training that will enhance their abilities to perform in their newly chosen security career.

16 Hour – Class D License Training
The 16 hour Class D License Training Course is designed to provide the participants with the additional training required in Chapter 493, Florida Statutes. This course is the conclusion of the training started with the 24 hour Class D License course. This course must be completed within 180 days after the date that the initial Class D License application is submitted.

28 Hour - Class G License Training
The state of Florida requires all personnel working an armed position in Private Security Services or Private Investigative Services to possess the Class G Statewide Firearms License. One of the requirements to obtain this professional licensure is that the applicant must complete a training curriculum, approved by the Division of Licensing, which complies with the requirements established in Rule 5N-1 and Florida State Statute 493.
